A versatile performer in multiple genres, Shira Shaked’s career has seen her recurring performances with world renowned violinist, Maxim Vengerov, grow into an ongoing collaboration. In addition to playing solo and chamber recitals, Shira performed with Pavel Vernikov, as a soloist with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, and collaborated with the Stony Brook, Symphonette Ra’anana, Tel Aviv University and The Revolution orchestras.

Her playing has resonated through the halls of Carnegie Hall in New-York, Municipal Theatre of Santiago in Chile, the Charles Bronfman Auditorium in Tel Aviv, Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York and the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., and her talent has been instrumental on two albums with Israel Prize awarded poet Nathan Zach and composer Shlomi Frige, and participated in live and studio projects by guitarist-composer Yair Yona and Portland based singer-songwriter Amit Erez.

Since 2020 Shira has been collaborating with flutist Idit Shemer, and in 2021 Duo Lyric was born. Together they perform a wide range of both old and new repertoire, including works that have been specifically dedicated to the duo.

Alongside her colleague, soprano Sivan Goldman, they established a project named The Feminine Voice. Their debut album was released in 2025, consisting of compositions written by various female composers from the late 19th century.

Shira took part in the Pittsburgh Jewish Music Festival, Eilat Chamber Music Festival, West Village Musical Theatre Festival, The Israel Music Festival and the Tel Aviv Piano Festival. She participated in numerous international masterclasses by Pnina Salzman, Joanna MacGregor, Pavel Gililov, Albert Tiu and The Tel-Hai International Piano Master Classes. Shira has received scholarships from Stony Brook University and the Tel Aviv Music Academy.

Shira released RED, her debut album of solo piano recordings.

Born in Israel, Shira began her piano studies at the age of four. At eight years old she joined the class of Adina Wertheim at the Israel Conservatory of Music, Tel Aviv, where she graduated with honors. Having concluded her military service in the IDF ‘Excelled Musician’ program, Shira enrolled at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at the Tel-Aviv University, where she earned a B.Mus degree in piano performance, studying under Michael Boguslavsky and Mark Shaviner. She then went on to complete M.Mus studies with Vadim Monastyrski at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Mentored by Gilbert Kalish, Shira earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Stony Brook University.

Shira is a faculty member of The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, Rimon School of Music and Givataim Conservatory.
